Nov 26, 2022 · On zoom, when I test the mic inside zoom, the only option is my headphones mic, and my real tech speakers don't work when i speak and even speaking thru my headphones has stopped working so no one can hear me on zoom meetings. Uninstalling and re-installing zoom seemed to help once but even that isn't working.

Do note that the Microphone will only work if there's an application open that uses it like Skype, Zoom, or WebEx. Therefore, the icon would only appear on the system tray if such an application is open and there's an ongoing call on it.

Apr 7, 2022 · It only appeared after I purchased a logitech keyboard and mouse and installed the app that lets you manage their accessories. It was indicating that my mic was muted because in my testing the new keyboard I had pressed fn and f6 which is the keyboard shortcut for muting mic. Once I pressed it again the mic was unmuted and the icon disappeared.

hello. I get the pop up message in zoom "unable to detect microphone". I tried all the suggestions; in privacy settings; enabled all apps to allow to access microphone. I tried clicking on the lock icon in the search bar to allow to zoom to access mic and camera, this did not work. can someone please help. thank you.

Apr 9, 2020 · The microphone stopped working on my daughter's reasonably new HP laptop in Zoom only. I checked the privacy settings and it's enabled. The microphone seems to work everywhere else except Zoom. I went into the Zoom settings, chose the proper microphone, tested it, and it did not work. The speaker works fine.

May 8, 2020 · Bottom line... my computer mic works. When I test it through Windows settings, there is no problem. It doesn't test through Zoom even though all the settings are enabled for the mic use. The mic icon even pops up on my windows task menu (bottom right corner) when I open Zoom. I cant figure out what's wrong.
