The Yankees are expected to play two-time batting champion DJ LeMahieu, veteran infielder Oswald Peraza, and rookie Jorbit Vivas at third. Manager Aaron Boone has not specified if second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. will return to third upon returning from an oblique strain.

Cabrera made sure to thank Aaron Judge and Anthony Volpe for supporting him at the hospital. Several Yankees stars were unable to make it to the hospital due to restricted access. However, Judge and Volpe managed to go and visit him the same night.

After suffering a gruesome ankle injury during a recent game against the Seattle Mariners, third baseman Oswaldo Cabrera had to be carted off the field and rushed to the hospital. He had surgery after being diagnosed with an ankle fracture and will likely have weeks if not months of rehab before taking the field again.
