Central Indiana hit by winter storm, with snowfall totals up to 13 inches in south central Indiana. Ice accumulations also reported.

Nearly 10 inches of snow fell in the Bloomington area on Sunday and Monday, and forecasters expect the snow to remain for a while. Jason Puma, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, said the snow probably will stick around through the whole week or beyond.

Roads south of Bloomington are beginning to be covered in snow, as seen on Indiana Department of Transportation snow plow cameras. Just after 9 a.m., a photograph from a snow plow on I-69 near Washington, Indiana, showed snow accumulating on the interstate. Another plow on I-69 near Crane showed snow is just beginning to accumulate.

National Weather Service meteorologists are predicting near-zero temperatures overnight and more snow later this week.
