The Michigan State women's basketball team had its comeback efforts come up just short while suffering an 85-80 setback to Nebraska on Wednesday night.

After starting their season with the best start in program history, the Michigan State women’s basketball hit some stumbling blocks with two straight losses to Alabama and Maryland. The Spartans bounced back last week with a win over Purdue, which led to them moving back up one spot in the AP poll on Monday up to No. 20.

Nebraska women's basketball upended No. 20 Michigan State, 85-80. NU improves to 12-4 on the year and 3-2 in Big Ten Conference play while MSU falls to 12-3 overall and 2-2 in the league. The Huskers are 11-0 at home this season.
