Archbishop Williams High's Alana McNamara has been voted the Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week. The freshman received over 24,000 votes to earn the honor. McNamara scored 23 points in a 59-48 win over Fontbonne Academy.

North Quincy High's Aidan McGrath has been voted the Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week. The freshman received over 10,000 votes to earn the honor. McGrath scored 24 of his 33 points in the second half as the Raiders picked up a Patriot League Fisher Division win over Pembroke,

Marshfield High's Sarah McIntyre has been voted the Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Girls Hockey Player of the Week. The junior received over 5,000 votes to earn the honor. McIntyre led the way in a 5-2 win over Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake by tallying a hat trick.

Weymouth High's Billy Lennon has been voted the Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Boys Hockey Player of the Week. The junior received over 25,000 votes to earn the honor. Lennon made 35 saves as Weymouth defeated Duxbury, 3-2.

As the month of January rolls on, it is time to look at some of the standout high school girls basketball players from the state of Alabama last week. As always, we ask you, the fans to vote for who think the player of the week should be for games played from January 5-11.
