With tee times moved up and players grouped together due to expected inclement weather in Illinois, the 2025 John Deere Classic should wrap up relatively early Saturday once Moving Day is completed. Doug Ghim used a late eagle entering the weekend to lock up his first 36-hole lead on the PGA Tour,

Doug Ghim jumped on the course early Thursday, posting a 62 to take a one-shot lead after 18 holes. Max Homa and Austin Eckroat were a shot back. For Homa, his 63 is his best first-round score on the PGA Tour. Those two keep the pedal down Friday, with Ghim holding the outright lead and Homa not far behind.
