Why California’s gas prices increased 41 cents a gallon in February
California drivers are seeing an increase in fuel expenses. The price of a gallon of regular gas rose 41 cents from one month ago. That would amount to about $243 more a year for a car getting average mileage (24.4 miles per gallon) that is driven the average distance (14,489 miles) per year.
Assembly Republicans announced a package of bills Wednesday to address the affordability issues affecting most Californians.
The average price for a gallon of gas in California has risen about 40 cents in the past month, according to AAA.
California has the highest price of gas, with an average of $4.83 per gallon of regular gas. Mississippi has the lowest price of gas, with an average of $2.67 per gallon of regular gas.
