President Donald Trump’s promised crackdown on illegal immigration has begun to take shape in San Diego County, as federal agents launched targeted operations to arrest undocumented immigrants and a wave of military troops got to work reinforcing U.

As the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown on immigrants who are in the country illegally, officials and agencies took to social media to publicize the arrests.

President Donald Trump, who made the deportation of migrants a central part of his campaign and presidency, said Wednesday that the U.S. will use a detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to hold tens of thousands of people who can't be sent back to their home countries.
