A Hawaii island police are conducting an islandwide search for two men after an officer was shot today at a bank near the Prince Kuhio Plaza shopping center in Hilo, and then later airlifted to Oahu and transported to The Queen’s Medical Center where the officer was in serious but stable condition from a head injury.

Hawaii Island police are warning the community to be on the lookout for the suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting at Prince Kuhio Plaza.

According to Hawaii Police Chief Benjamin Moszkowicz, the wounded officer, who is assigned to the East Hawaii Vice Section, is in serious condition at Hilo Benioff Medical Center.

The Hawaii Island Police Department is on the lookout for a wanted man connected to an apparent officer-involved shooting. Christopher Lucrisia, 39, is suspected of shooting a police officer two times at a bank near the Prince Kuhio Plaza.
