You won’t see Tim Gunn telling fashion designers to “make it work” on Freeform ’s upcoming Project Runway revival. Gunn, who long served as mentor to the show’s contestants, revealed he wasn’t invited to join returning host Heidi Klum in Runway ’s new iteration.

Sounds like Tim Gunn wasn’t able to make it work with the new Project Runway. Gunn, the fashion guru who served as mentor on 16 seasons of Runway, won’t return for the new Freeform revival, he tells People magazine.

This is per an interview Gunn gave to People this week, in which he talked about feeling “initially devastated, then kind of humiliated” when he found out that producers of the new version of the show explicitly didn’t want him back in any major capacity.
