A crowd gathered around the war memorial in Carlisle city centre on Thursday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Dancing, cheering, and street parties were just some of the ways that Carlisle celebrated VE Day in Carlisle 80 years ago.

A trip to the Empire State Building costs approximately $44 for an adult to visit the 86th floor observatory, and the price increases to $79 for access to both the 86th and 102nd floor observatories.
