Apple is being sued over the crackling and static sounds and other audio quality issues plaguing its very first AirPods Pro model, released in 2019 and sold through September 2022.

Macworld A class-action lawsuit filed this month accuses Apple of misleading AirPods Pro customers and failing adequately to address an audio defect reported shortly after the product’s launch in 2019.

Apple is now facing a class action lawsuit over its AirPods Pro model and its crackling issue. DMN has reported on the issue over the years—with the plaintiffs alleging Apple has done nothing to resolve the issue.

As noted by MacRumors, three Apple customers have filed a class action lawsuit against the tech giant. The plaintiffs are bringing the case against Apple because the company touted its AirPods Pro (first generation as having “superior audio and noise-cancelling qualities.
