A gas line rupture caused by contractor work has forced the closure of South Terminal Road near Terminal A at George Bush Intercontinental Airport Wednesday morning, according to airport officials. Passengers checking in at Terminal A are being advised to first go to Terminal C and use the airport subway system to return to their designated terminal,

The South Terminal Road near Terminal A has closed due to a gas line break at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Frontier Airlines is attempting for a second time to merge with the now bankrupt Spirit Airlines, which declared bankruptcy late last year as budget airlines struggle.

The redevelopment of the terminal will result in closure of check-in and TSA areas from Jan. 21 until sometime in 2026.

The Terminal B lobby at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) will temporarily close on Jan. 21, marking a significant milestone in United Airlines ’ $2.5 billion project to redevelop the terminal. The lobby is expected to reopen in 2026, according to a Houston Airport System press release.
