When the PlayStation Plus monthly games for March were revealed, it was pretty surprising to see Dragon Age: The Veilguard in that lineup. However, not everyone around the world will be able to enjoy the recently released RPG as one region replaced BioWare’s latest with a Warhammer game.

On March 4th, subscribers to PlayStation Plus Essential or higher tiers will be able to claim and download Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate for free.

Less than four months after its release, EA's Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers starting next month. EA's Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be available to claim from March 4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, according to a new post on the PlayStation Blog.

The inclusion of the recent Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an interesting choice, possibly spurred by the game falling short of EA’s sales projections and leading to mass layoffs within its developer BioWare, leaving the company with under 100 employees to develop the next Mass Effect.

The Veilguard is the headliner here, as the game was released back in October 2024. BioWare's return to its single-player roots, The Veilguard earned mostly positive reviews but sales did fail to meet EA's expectations.

March 2025 is going to be a big month for PS Plus as the service is getting a major RPG that only just released.
