NHL Buzz: Hughes returns, Pettersson still out for Canucks
Quinn Hughes returned for the Canucks in a 5-4 overtime loss at the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. Hughes, Vancouver’s top defenseman and captain, had two assists in 26:15 of ice time. He had missed the previous four games with an upper-body injury.
Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Placed on injured reserve
Pettersson (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Friday, retroactive to Dec. 23. Pettersson has already missed three games, and he is eligible to return whenever he's ready. Earlier Friday, Pettersson was labeled close to a return and will be on the Canucks' road trip that begins Monday in Montreal.
