The President's long-awaited plan outlines dozens of steps aimed at establishing U.S. dominance in the technology.

The Trump administration on Wednesday unveiled its AI action plan, a package of initiatives and policy recommendations meant to cement the United States as a global leader in a technology that’s expected to be as influential as the internet itself.

The AI Action Plan pretty much frees up AI companies to do what they want, but it also supports the use of open source for AI. What that means is one big open question.

What's in the White House's AI Action plan? Federal support for domestic AI tech and data centers. What's out? Climate regulation and "woke AI."

The Trump administration wants to greatly expand the development and use of advanced artificial intelligence, including rolling back environmental rules to spur building of power-thirsty data centers and punishing states that attempt to regulate AI on their own.
