Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams will have surgery on his injured wrist and will be ready for the start of the season, GM Sam Presti said.

Before Sam Presti dove into questions, the Oklahoma City Thunder general manager handed out injury updates as the NBA champions shift into offseason mode. He said Jalen Williams will undergo wrist surgery to repair torn ligaments and should be ready by the start of the 2025-26 season.

Williams was still able to play through the injury during the postseason. It's lucky for Williams and the Thunder that he could still play since the team won the NBA title last week. He averaged 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists throughout the playoffs.
