Israel said it deported Greta Thunberg one day after its navy intercepted a Gaza-bound flotilla carrying aid. Thunberg was one of 12 passengers on board.
The activists had set out to protest Israel’s ongoing military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which is among the deadliest and most destructive since World War II, and its restrictions on the entry of aid.
Israel's foreign ministry has branded it a "selfie yacht", while Thunberg says she has been "kidnapped" after Israeli forces boarded the vessel.

The detained crew of the Gaza-bound aid ship that was intercepted by Israel on Monday morning has been taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, according to Israel’s foreign ministry.
Thunberg was one of 12 passengers on board the Madleen, a boat carrying aid destined for people in war-torn Gaza.
The activists' yacht, which was trying to carry aid to Gaza, was intercepted by Israeli forces in the early hours of Monday.
The Israeli army said on Sunday it had retrieved the body of Hamas' military chief Mohammed Sinwar in an underground tunnel beneath a hospital in southern Gaza, following a targeted operation last month.
