As Candace Parker embarked on her legendary WNBA career following her time at Tennessee, she signed an endorsement deal with adidas. After her retirement, she became the company’s president of women’s basketball.

Adidas reached an agreement to replace Nike as the athletic outfitter of the University of Tennessee, effective July 1, 2026, when the current Nike contract ends. Tennessee left Adidas in 2014 to sign with Nike, and Nike’s amended deal runs through 2026.

Tennessee athletics will switch from Nike to Adidas in 2026 with plans to make the Vols the brand's flagship college program and prioritize NIL.
