After ten years, Demna is stepping away from his role as Creative Director, and at his final show in Paris this afternoon, he said goodbye with a sweet, beautifully crafted couture collection that was a love letter to his legacy and to everyone who has helped him along the way.

Sade’s “No Ordinary Love” was his chosen finale music — “It’s the soundtrack of my life since I was 10,” the Georgian designer revealed — and its lyrics also seemed to speak to all that he’s done for the house that Cristóbal Balenciaga built.
