Renowned singer and actress Janelle Monae recently called out fellow musician Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., for his performance at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on January 20.

Nonbinary and pansexual music artist Janelle Monáe tore into Nelly for having “sold out” by performing at a Donald Trump inauguration event. Monáe was performing a rendition of Nelly’s Hot in Herre at a Grammy’s after party when she stopped to tell the crowd she “used to like Nelly but then he went to perform for Donald Trump.”
