China's BYD to Equip Its New God's Eye Self-Driving System on All Its NEV Models
God's Eye uses BYD's self-developed intelligent driving chips and algorithmic architecture while integrating computer platforms from third-party suppliers, such as Nvidia and Horizon Robotics, said Yang Dongsheng, senior vice president of BYD and head of the Shenzhen-based company's automotive new technology research institute.
BYD is set to equip all of its electric vehicles (EV) with advanced self-driving tech, the company noted earlier this week.
China EV maker BYD plans to install its self-driving technology on most cars without extra cost, and even cheaper models. Analysts say this could be another hurdle for Tesla.
