Amon-Ra St. Brown on coaching changes
When former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson left the team to become the head coach of the Chicago Bears, there was some expectation that he might take at least one other coach with him.
Over the last three years, former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was instrumental in helping revitalize a once-dormant franchise into a Super Bowl contender. Now, with the Lions on the potential verge of their own glory, Johnson has jumped ship to become the Chicago Bears’ head coach and hopefully have similar success.
One of the big reactions came from Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who was ironically in the midst of the coaching change, as he interviewed quarterback Caleb Williams on the podcast he hosts with his brother, Equanimeous, who also used to play for the Bears.

While he wouldn't come out directly and say it, Equanimeous told Amon-Ra to tell his former coach to send him a text message. When asked if he wants to return to Chicago, the former Bear responded with a reminder to just have his old coach text him.
Even with Johnson leaving, the Lions still have one of the best offensive cores in the league. Their passing attack has Jared Goff throwing to St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and star tight end Sam LaPorta. When defenses key in on the passing game, their "Sonic and Knuckles" duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery will punish defenses on the ground.
