Ed Martin, President Donald Trump’s Justice Department weaponization chief, called for the resignation of New York Attorney General Letitia James and posed for photos outside of her Brooklyn home last week – all as he is conducting investigations into her conduct.

The latest exchange is an escalation between two combative attorneys — Abbe Lowell and Ed Martin.

The encounter with Ed Martin occurred the day President Donald Trump pulled his nomination to remain U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.

In video obtained by CNN, Ed Martin, President Donald Trump’s Justice Department weaponization chief, called for the resignation of New York Attorney General Letitia James and posed for photos outside of her Brooklyn home last week – all as he is conducting investigations into her conduct.

DOJ Weaponization Working Group Director Ed Martin told FNC's "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo that the department is "spinning like a top" investigating how the government was weaponized against citizens over the past ten years.

Even if charges never come, this is a classic example of political corruption — and of authoritarian capture of the independence of federal prosecutors. Martin has embarked on a fishing expedition and he’ll keep it going for as long as it’s useful to the White House.
