Dozens of migrants in New York City will get the opportunity to learn new skills that could translate into a new career, thanks to a culinary school designed specifically for them.

The Salvation Army's culinary training helps aspiring San Francisco chefs to overcome homelessness and addiction -- and get a second chance at life.

Rhoton said the program is already building a community; almost all of the baking students had either brought friends along or planned to introduce others to the class in the future.
