While the Oklahoma City Thunder are busy with their Round 2 playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, the 2025 NBA draft lottery was revealed. The randomness always creates chaos. It happened again as the Dallas Mavericks landed the No. 1 pick and will likely add Cooper Flagg.

While the Thunder did not receive the 76ers pick during the draft lottery, they still own the 15th, 24th and either the 44th or 45th pick in the upcoming 2025 draft. Because of this, Oklahoma City will have another opportunity to add more young talent to their team next season to make another deep playoff run.

Finally free of months of suspense, the 76ers can start to put things in motion. They can also celebrate this thing over which they had no control, but that wound up meaning so much to them. They can grin and laugh and embrace now that the results of Monday’s NBA draft lottery are finalized.
