According to a spokesperson, Publix is open on the Fourth of July in 2025 during normal business hours. So, if you're in need a few last-minute items for your holiday picnic or milk, bread or any other basics to get through the rest of the weekend, Publix stores will be open and welcoming customers as usual.

While most Publix locations will be operating on their normal schedule on the Fourth of July, it's best to reach out to your local store just to be sure. You can do that by visiting the "Locations" page on the Publix website, and entering your city, state or zip code.

Across Tampa Bay, government offices, post offices, libraries, courts and schools will be closed on Friday. But state offices such as the Florida Department of Health, Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, drivers license offices and other state services will be closed an extra day on Thursday.
