Four wildfires burning in western Colorado have consumed more than 250 square miles, threatened hundreds of homes and forced evacuations, fire officials said.

The Derby Fire is moving quickly in Garfield and Eagle counties, burning almost 1,000 acres between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

A Boulder County man has been served with a felony summons for fourth-degree arson after a pool house burned on his property.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department is responding to a fire on the west side of Colorado Springs. On Tuesday at 2:35 p.m., crews said they were on scene of a structure fire on Hagerman St., east of Red Rocks Open Space. Crews said fire was coming from the first floor of the home.

The trial is expected to last eight weeks, from late September through early November, with billions of dollars on the line for Colorado’s largest utility company.

Two homes in Superior, CO, caught fire last night, prompting a quick response from firefighters; no injuries were reported.

County firefighters are responding to a fire in Urbana Thursday afternoon. The Carroll Fire Protection District is on the scene at 16 Rowena Drive in the Ivanhoe Estates Mobile Home Park. Smoke from the fire was captured by a WCIA weather camera.

RIO BLANCO AND GARFIELD COUNTIES, Colo. (KRDO) - The Lee Fire has grown to 133,602 acres as of Friday, August 15, putting it on track to become the fourth-largest wildfire in Colorado history.
