The Super Bowl LIX halftime show is now a point of contention in Drake's ongoing litigation against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" diss track. Drake and his lawyers alleged the performance amounted to character assassination.

The amended complaint updates a lawsuit Drake filed against Universal Music in January, accusing the label of defaming him by releasing and promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track that accuses Drake of pedophilia (which he denies).

Drake has filed an amended complaint in his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” stating that the label used Lamar’s wins at the Grammy Awards and performance of the song during the Super Bowl Halftime Show to further promote the single and damage his reputation.
