Carlos Baleba to Man United transfer latest - Brighton decision, deal timeline, new 'stance'
Brighton are determined to keep hold of the 21-year-old - who they value at over £100million. Consequently, The Manchester Evening News reported on Friday that United are content to wait until next year to pursue a deal for Baleba if they have to.
It is no secret that Manchester United are interested in signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer. The Red Devils have had an impressive summer transfer window already. They have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
That’s why United’s interest in Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba makes sense. The 21-year-old is an all-action, front-footed midfielder who hoovers up ground for fun. Not only would he add intensity to the heart of the pitch, but his quality in and out of possession offers something United lack.
It has been well documented that the Seagulls wanted at least £100million for Baleba and, crucially, they were not willing to sell him this summer. As such, The Manchester Evening News reported on Friday that United were happy to wait until next year to sign Baleba.
The Manchester Evening News recently reported that United are preparing 100 million sterling pound (€115m) bid for the 21 year old. If accepted Baleba would become the most expensive signing in United’s history surpassing Paul Pogba’s 105m euro move from Juventus in 2016 and one of the biggest transfers in football history.
