Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has defended Ruben Amorim’s criticisms of the team and says the head coach’s comments fired him up. Amorim previously said this United team were “maybe the worst in history” following last weekend’s 3-1 home defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.

If this is the worst Manchester United team of all time then being their best player is perhaps not too high an accolade. Though the next question is where United, who visit Fulham on Jan 26, would be without Bruno Fernandes.
