For round-robin games, overtime will be held in a 10-minute, three-on-three sudden-death period, followed by a three-round shootout. In the final, full 20-minute, five-on-five periods will be played until a goal is scored.

Each team will play three tournament games in a traditional round-robin format in order to accumulate points in the standings. During the first part of the tournament, teams earn three points for a regulation win, two points for an overtime win, one point for an overtime loss, and no points for a regulation loss.
