It should be pointed out that those detractors of the light rail already had their chance to improve the bus system in 2017.

Maryland would be better off investing in improved bus service in Baltimore than building an east-west light rail line.

The Red Line would provide a transit connection between the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County and the West Baltimore communities, to places east like Canton.

The line is part of a $5 billion portfolio of projects planned by the region’s grid operator, PJM Interconnection.
