There was a line of thinking that Jimmy Butler didn't put his foot on the gas in Golden State's Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves because he was saving up his energy for Game 3 at home, when the Warriors were likely to have their best shot to steal the one win they need in this series to stay afloat until Stephen Curry can potentially get back.

Butler was excellent against the Timberwolves on Saturday night, dropping in 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Jonathan Kuminga also added 30 points off the bench, as the two forwards combined for nearly two-thirds of the Warriors' total offensive output on the evening.

The Golden State Warriors may have been without Steph Curry during Thursday night's Game 2 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the star guard was still helping the Dubs all night—only from the bench instead of the court.
