Rookie Tomoyuki Sugano earned his 10th victory by working 5 1/3 sharp innings before a lengthy rain delay, and the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Seattle Mariners 5-3 on Thursday.

The bats got going for the O's in the bottom of the 4th. Ryan Mountcastle dropped a hit in between the shortstop and left fielder, sending Jordan Westburg to 3rd.

The Orioles send their best pitcher, Trevor Rogers, to the hill. His ERA is 1.44 with a 5-2 record and 54 strikeouts. Baltimore has had a disappointing season, at 53-66, but they've played a bit better of late and have a potent lineup.
