Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has ordered inspections of all state-run emergency shelters in response to the recent arrest of an undocumented migrant who was living at a Revere shelter site. The man is accused by authorities of crimes including illegal possession of an AR-15 and fentanyl trafficking.

"It's outrageous that this individual took advantage of our shelter system to engage in criminal activity," Healey said in a press statement on Monday.

Maura Healey on Monday announced a review of shelter policy amid a barrage of questions over how a Dominican national – who the feds say entered the country illegally – came to be at a Revere family shelter with 10 pounds of lethal drugs and a large-capacity rifle.

Healey’s order followed the arrest late last month of an undocumented immigrant from the Dominican Republic. Revere police said they seized an assault rifle and roughly 10 pounds of fentanyl.
