India captain Rohit Sharma's participation in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir is uncertain. The Mumbai selectors will follow the standard procedure to verify Rohit's availability before announcing the squad on January 20.

It was reported on Monday that Rohit had approached the head coach Omkar Salavi and made "inquiries about when they are going to train for the next Ranji match, which is still 10 days away," a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has joined the Mumbai camp for the next Ranji Trophy round, while Rohit Sharma's participation remains uncertain. The Indian skipper's availability for the match against Jammu and Kashmir has not been confirmed yet,

Rohit Sharma has joined Mumbai's squad for their training sessions in the lead up to the second half of the Ranji Trophy season. The team is currently having a training camp at the Wankhede Stadium and and Rohit has linked up with them after consultation with head coach Omkar Salvi.
