The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl. To be quite frank, it wasn't even close for most of the game as the Buckeyes came out on fire and ended the first quarter and a half up 31-0.

The No. 1 Ducks were pummeled 41-21 by No. 8 Ohio State on Wednesday at the Rose Bowl, eliminating them from the College Football Playoff in the quarterfinal round. Oregon went down by as much as 34-0 in the second quarter, amassing just 139 yards to Ohio State’s 390 in the first half alone.

It was so quiet in the Oregon locker room you could hear a season end. Amid the near silence Wednesday night, Ducks cornerback Jabbar Muhammad found himself offering a way-too-early state-of-the union assessment of his program.
