Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a four-year, $285 million contract extension that will give him the largest annual average value salary in NBA history.

Fresh off of winning both NBA league MVP and NBA Finals MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reportedly agreed to a four-year, $285 million super maximum contract extension to remain with the Oklahoma City Thunder through the 2030-31 season.

Kansas City isn't exactly ground zero for Oklahoma City Thunder fandom, but the NBA team does have support in the area. That's helped in part by FanDuel Sports Kansas City airing the Thunder's games during the regular season. And the Thunder winning the NBA Finals also doesn't hurt.
