ESPN's Field Yates has the Chicago Bears turning their attention to defense in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Chicago Bears signed free agent running back Royce Freeman. The Bears placed running back Deion Hankins on injured reserve with a knee injury. Freeman, a former third-round pick, has played for multiple NFL teams. Hankins was injured during the preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.

Combined with DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, and Cole Kmet, the Chicago Bears' offense has a chance to be special in 2025, and that's not hyperbole. How much of the pie Loveland gets will be a critical variable for his fantasy success, but you don't want to be the guy who misses out on a potential smash season from the former Michigan star.

Williams had 97 yards on a long first drive that ended in a touchdown, and 107 yards overall on two drives. Preseason results don't matter much, but it's not a bad thing to play well, and Chicago thumped the Buffalo Bills (who didn't play starters) 38-0. The offense looked really good, with fantastic timing and execution on the first drive.
