India captain Rohit Sharma confirmed his participation in Mumbai's next Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir set to begin on January 23. Rohit emphasized the necessity for players to take breaks from a packed cricket calendar but assured that no player takes Ranji Trophy lightly.

Rohit was last seen for Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy game in 2015, with a game against Uttar Pradesh. Along with Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal will also be available for the crucial game against Jammu and Kashmir. Rohit even attended the match simulation ahead of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 un-pause and faced pacers alongside his colleague Ajinkya Rahane.
