Arc System Works is taking on a new licensed fighting game challenge. At today’s State of Play, the developer revealed Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a fighting game that takes the venerable developer’s legendary visual and gameplay style and applies it to a new 4-on-4 tag fighter.

Capcom’s partnership with Marvel once opened doors to Western audiences, but now Arc System Works, the new leader in 2D fighters, is the one reaping the rewards with the power of Marvel and anime on its side.

Arc System Works, the studio behind Guilty Gear and Blazblue, has announced a Marvel fighting game. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will feature 4v4 tag team battles. The game is set to release in 2026, according to the developer.
