Angel Yin won her second career LPGA event and did so in record fashion, establishing a new tour 72-hole scoring record at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Angel Yin made seven birdies in a bogey-free final round to hold off a fast-finishing Akie Iwai to win the LPGA Thailand tournament by one shot.

Yin’s 28-under-par total 260 (67-64-64-65) is the lowest winning score in the history of the LPGA, topping Annika Sorenstam’s previous record by a shot set in 2001. She earned $255,000 for the first-place check from an overall $1.70 million purse.
