Summer league is the time for experimentation. The Sixers will be looking to see what they have in their young pieces so they will have them play plenty of different roles on the floor. For example, VJ Edgecombe will likely play a lot of point guard while Johni Broome will be playing a handful of positions.

While everybody has their eyes on Edgecombe, the No. 3 pick of this 2025 NBA draft, Broome is a player who the Sixers would like to count on to give them some good minutes at the big man spot. He had a decorated career at Auburn and now needs to translate those winning habits to the NBA level.

The 6-foot-9 standout reportedly signed a four-year contract via the second-round pick exception, according to Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports. The first two years are guaranteed on the contract, which includes a team option in the last year.
