Illinois Democrats say their party will win across the United States in 2026, with the Land of Lincoln serving as the blueprint. Gov.

Gov. JB Pritzker, who also is a potential 2028 White House contender, said Democrats nationally who are still lamenting last year’s presidential outcome should move forward.

Redistricting was a large focus at an annual gathering of the state party’s central committee and the Republican County Chair’s Association in Springfield, with a pre-taped message from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott that dubbed his push “fair” and “necessary” setting the tone for the day.
