Belgian racing legend Jacky Ickx took part this month in the 2025 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia behind the wheel of a one-off Genesis GV80 SUV called the Desert Edition.

Genesis has created a one-off GV80 SUV designed to celebrate the 80 th birthday of racing driver Jacky Ickx. Ickx won the 1983 Dakar event and is an ambassador for the Genesis brand He also advises on development of future Genesis cars, including the upcoming new Magma series of high-performance models.
