CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — The former site of Cary Towne Center, which has sat empty for years, may stay that way for a while longer. The town recently withdrew a rezoning application from Epic Games because the company didn’t act on it.

A rezoning application filed by video game developer Epic Games back in 2021 was pulled late last year due to inactivity, according to the Town of Cary's rezoning website. Cary officials confirmed the plans have been withdrawn during a Cary Chamber event Wednesday morning.
