McDonald's announced earlier this week that the company would end some initiatives centered on diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI.

McDonalds’s joins the growing list of companies revising DEI policies. McDonald's is putting the emphasis on inclusion and dropping the diversity and equity words.

Other companies with a large corporate presence in the US, such as Nissan and Toyota, also agreed to dissolve a number of their DEI practices toward the end of 2024.
