Val Boreland, an executive who has specialized in acquiring content for the various cable networks owned by NBCUniversal, will lead the entertainment operations of those outlets whey they are spun off from the company later this year.

The executive ranks of the cable network entity spinning off from Comcast/NBCUniversal later this year have been filled in with a handful of appointments.

The spin-off of the cable TV network portfolio, which will be completed later this year, will be led by Mark Lazarus and Anand Kini

Paramount Global has renewed its distribution deal with Comcast, the companies said on Tuesday, ensuring the cable systems and services provider continues to offer the media giant's channels like CBS and Nickelodeon.

The deals ensure carriage of Paramount’s networks, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network and more.

Paramount Global and Comcast renewed distribution deals for Par’s portfolio of networks. They include Paramount+ with Showtime for Xfinity platforms.
