A Washington jury ordered Bayer to pay $100 million to four individuals affected by PCBs at a Seattle school. The ruling follows multiple cases claiming health issues due to PCB exposure, though Bayer disputes the causation and legality.

The trial, called Rose v. Pharmacia, is the tenth involving former students, teachers and parents at the Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe, Washington.

Bayer AG was told by a jury to pay $100 million to four people at a Seattle-area school who said their exposure at the facility to toxic chemicals made by the company’s Monsanto unit caused brain damage and other injuries.
